Yassin's Poems

SEARCHING

Please don’t stand in my way –
I am searching
In deserts, high gardens,
Valleys and mountains.

I have news, I am carrying the letter
For our immigration, and the foreigners
On the other side of the border.

Leave me alone, I know the real story.
I am asking the caves, stars,
Flowers, stones,
Trees, rivers,

Sun and moon:
Where are the bodies
Of those who never had a funeral?
Where is the singing
For the unknown soldiers?

Please please let me to see –
I know them all.
They belong to
My occupied country.
